Here’s a video segment on the CPU’s and Monitor Kit that we use. A transcription of the video is available after the jump.

Transcript:
Hi, I’m John Harrington and we’re going to break out and break down the wide variety of equipment we use to deliver images to our clients. Next we are going to show you one of the equipment kits we use when we are traveling on assignment. Each kit is different and has a very specific purpose. So lets take a look.

Sometimes an assignment calls for us to take our post-production systems on the road. We pack up the CPU’s and monitors and we pack up redundancies.  While we have several machines in our offices, when we’re on the road its gotta work, if it doesn’t we have to have a back up on hand. Whether we’re across town or in another time zone.

Here’s a kit that packs a G5 It’s kind of heavy but it’s got to go. In it, the G5 packs safely, its rigid and protects the G5 from point A to point B. This is a Versa flex case. A separate case packs the monitor. Also inside, the mouse and the keyboard and any other wires and Cat5 cabling we might need. Here a 20-inch flat panel, which is much easier to travel with, then a CRT monitor which is much heavier and bulkier. This also is a Versa flex case.

Separately we travel with a 20-inch iMAC. The keyboard and mouse also store in the iMAC case. Cat5 cabling if necessary is in here as well. The keyboard and mouse, the monitor packs in here. This is also a Versa flex case.

Travel also includes relatively short stays between successive movements.Sydney Accommodation Movements between locations requiring only a few minutes are not considered as travel.
