A blimp is a sound-proof enclosure for the SLR that is typically required on studio sets to ensure that the shutter noise doesn't interfere with the taping. They're somewhat pricey from what I recall (He spoke of them in his book on business practices, great read/resource) -- but oft required on such sets.
