If the background is that white, is it an option to use a green screen and swap out background in photoshop? Although I always appreciate doing as much as possible at the time of capture. By the way, I don't expect you would remember me but we met in Warwick at the photojournalist conference where David Hobby was there also. I love keeping up with your blog. Cheers

If you did that, you'd have to clean up green spill, which would be much worse than painting out a few shadows.

I agree, green spill is much harder to clone out then wiping out a shadow or two like appears in this shot. I avoid green screens like the plague if i can smile
