Assignment ConstructThe objective was to document the remarks by the Secretary of Energy at an Energy Star event at the National Press Club.

Pre-Production:

The room is a horrible mix of daylight and tungsten/fluorescent, meaning you just can’t get it right.

Assignment:

Assignment ConstructThe press conference was short, and the set dressed (overdressed?) with a number of the EnergyStar logos. The client’s principal spoke first, followed by the Secretary. Capturing the “Change a light, Change the World” language was important.

Post-Production:

We reviewed the images on site with the client, and sent them out to the news media from there.

Final Analysis:

This room is good for receptions, but as press conferences goes, it’s not so good, yet time and time again, we find ourselves covering news here. Go figure.
