Poster Sessions

The assignment was to capture students engaging higher education learning centers, as well as fellowship opportunities at government institutions. Each of the centers/institutions had a 4x8 booth with their information on them, and a small table. The objective was to get engaging photos of the students being engaged.

Having done this assignment before for this client, I knew what to expect. Yet, making sure you have wide lenses and a tungsten gel to match the room lighting’s color temperature.

Before the students arrived, we scouted the location to determine which backdrops were the most interesting, and as the students entered, it was key to get handshakes and interaction between them, as well as overviews showing the crowd, to illustrate that the event was well attended.

It’s nice to be on hand to repeatedly cover an annual event. Knowing what will happen - specific to this event, and helps to be that much more prepared than normal.
