Grand Opening - The Night Before

Thursday, November 09, 2006 Concept/Objective:

Assignment ConstructThe objective was to cover the black tie gala before the event, including handshakes and speeches.

Our pre-production plans were incorporated with the grand opening plans. Documenting the full breadth and scope of the gala was important.

The museum was filled to capacity, as the photo shows, and se needed to capture that as well as each of the speakers. From the Commandant of the Marine Corps, to John Glenn,  and VIP arrivals, there was a great deal of work involved.

Because of the focus of the event the next day, there was no urgent need for gala images.

Final Analysis:

There was a lot that went into making the coverage of this happen, and many of the subjects were in disparate locations, yet we needed to get them into the same place to be photographed together – not an easy task!Assignment Construct
