DaVinci Revealed

Wednesday, December 06, 2006 Concept/Objective:

Assignment ConstructThe objective was to document the display of Leonardo DaVinci’s “Adoration of the Magi” art, on display at the Library of Congress.

-----

Pre-Production:

Coverage of the press conference as well as Mrs. Bush’s visit was a part of the pre-production planning and discussions to ensure the project went fine.

Assignment:

Producing images that juxtaposed the artwork and the speakers was a challenge, and then we were not allowed to use flash when near the artwork, so we were stuck with just available light.

Post-Production:

We needed to deliver several images from each day to the client for distribution both in the US as well as Italy to promote the exhibit’s opening.

Final Analysis:

It was remarkable to see the attention paid to such a small piece of paper, until you actually saw the research behind it, and realized just what a marvel it actually was – especially so for it’s time.
